    Rotary Cotton-On Youth Fund

    Dear E-Club 3310 Members,

I am pleased to announce that a Rotary Cotton On Youth Fund has been established jointly by the Cotton On Foundation and the Foundation of Rotary Clubs Singapore.

The Cotton On Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Cotton On Group. Established in 2007, it shares a belief in helping others and contributing to the community. Set on creating positive and measurable change in the lives of young people in need, the aim is to empower youth to learn more, participate more and understand more.

The Rotary Cotton On Youth Fund mission is to support youth projects that create positive and measurable change in the lives of young men and women in Singapore or a country in the ASEAN region.

You may wish to know that key evaluation criteria are:

    a) Are we helping youth? Thatís young people or children in need?
    b) Will we run the project? Does it require our expertise?
    c) Do we know where the money goes?
    d) Is the project sustainable (economically and environmentally)?
    e) Is the project a challenge?
    f) Will the community embrace this challenge?
    g) Will this project create future benefit?
    h) Is the project exciting and driven with enthusiasm?

You will hear an official announcement from the Chair and the Foundation of Rotary Clubs soon.

A copy of the application form is enclosed and we look forward to receiving applications* for worthwhile youth projects in Singapore.

    Yours in Rotary,

    Dr Mark Hon
Trustee, Rotary Cotton On Youth Fund

*Forms can be completed electronically (click on "save" after typing in the requested information) and emailed to me. Projects that benefit commercial organisations or bodies established for profit-making purposes will not be approved.
