President’s Message for August 2020

Monday, 3 August 2020 | View:

Greetings fellow Rotarians. We kicked off the first month with a good start.

In July Rotary EClub of 3310 participated and supported three projects. We distributed face masks and daily essential supplies to residents from HDB rental units at Toa Payoh in partnership with Adeline, an active volunteer who runs a shelter home. We supported RC Queenstown in the District 3310 Covid-19 Disaster Relief Fundraising Concert which saw excellent performances from our talented youth and professional musicians. Also equally meaningful was the recognition of our dedicated nurses, who with their selfless contributions keep us safe in these challenging times. This was in support of RC Queenstown’s celebration of Nurses Day by distributing Gerbera daisies to our nurses in Singapore hospitals.

The District kicked off the first Joint Presidents Meeting where we were virtually introduced to our fellow classmates. The discussion highlighted the need for greater collaboration within the clubs and also to take the opportunity to strengthen our internal processes and focus on retention of members. Into the second month of the term we will continue to face challenges both personally and within the club.

Let us remain strong and stay connected and find strength within our Rotary community. Stay safe. Keep well. Last, but not least, I would like to take this opportunity to wish our nurses, Happy Nurses Day on 1 August 2020 and to all Singaporeans, Happy 55th Anniversary on 9 August 2020!!

Thank you
President Eddie Ho
