President’s Message for December 2020

Dear fellow Rotarians and friends

As we approach the end of year holidays let us reflect on the year that had passed us by. Moments of joy and happiness, moments of sadness, moments that were unpleasant, moments of regret… most of all let us be thankful and show gratitude to all family and friends. And also to be thankful for the opportunity to be a part of Rotary and to be in service to others in any small way.

Personally, for me, last month was humbling and inspirational listening to PP Ravishankar from Rotary Club of Bangalore Orchards. He spoke of his relentless and unending drive toward selfless work of philanthropy.

This month, we have Singapore Rotary Institute which is a multi-zone event comprising of clubs from Zone 1B, 9 and 10. It is a good opportunity to be a part of this multi-region event as this year it will be held virtually.

Our Gift of Sight Sarikei 2020-21 has achieved the targeted funding for 300 intra-ocular lenses (IOL). Thanks to the efforts of our members, friends and especially AG Richard Ong for leading the effort.

This month we welcome 2 PHFs, namely, Zhang Peng (spouse of Secretary Stephanie Song) and Gabrielle Guo, our youngest Rotarian who was already a PHF at age eight.

As is customary for Rotary E-Club of 3310, we look forward to fellowship with members and family at our year-end party. This year we will be especially eager to meet as we have not gathered together due to the pandemic restrictions in place prior to December.

On behalf of Rotary E-Club of 3310, I would like to wish all of you, Happy Holidays and Cheers!

President Eddie Ho,
Rotary E-Club of 3310
