UPCOMING WEBINAR – Registration open

5 Attributes of Successful and Agile Clubs, Wednesday, 24 August at 11:00 Chicago time (UTC-5): Have you ever wondered why Rotary loses approximately the same number of members as it brings in each year? Or why some clubs seem to thrive under any circumstances, even during the pandemic? Or what you could achieve with clear data and customized goals? There’s no secret formula for club success, but clubs that are vibrant and growing do have several things in common.

Due to overwhelming demand, a second session has been added on Thursday, 25 August at 18:00 Chicago time (UTC-5). The content is the same for both sessions and will be presented in English. Everyone who registers will receive access to the webinar recording.
AWARDS
New award recognizes members for advancing women in Rotary
The Sylvia Whitlock Leadership Award honors one Rotary member each year for their work to advance women in Rotary. The award is named for Sylvia Whitlock, the first woman to serve as a Rotary club president. Whitlock has gone on to lead change for women around the world through Rotary.

In 2021, the RI Board made this award, which was created by group of Rotarians in 2017, an official RI award. Beginning this year, any member can nominate another member during the 1 August-30 September nomination period. Do you know a member of any gender who is doing great work to advance women in Rotary? Now is the time to recognize them for their contributions.

Recognize people of action with Rotary service awards
Does your club or district have members who have demonstrated a particular commitment to service? Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation have a number of awards to recognize members, nonmembers, alumni, and clubs for their work. The updated Rotary Service Awards resource provides information about eligibility, deadlines, and the nomination process. Recognizing the work of people in your district is a great way to engage members as well as nonmembers. For general information about awards, go to Rotary.org/awards.
